The “Assumption First” campaign was created to allow the Parishioners of Assumption Church, and others in the Assumption catchment area the opportunity to kick off the Assumption Heritage Trust Foundation program. Those who call Assumption Church “home” have a very personal and spiritual relationship with their Church. They are carrying on a legacy started many years ago by the forefathers and First Nations peoples of this region. Assumption Parish is the oldest continuous parish in Canada, west of Montreal. This long and steady relationship is celebrated today with the “Assumption First” campaign.

Thank you to the many Assumption First Volunteers and donors for their dedication and help in “leading the way.” To date, our journey to, “Fulfilling the Promise” has been the most successful campaign in the history of Assumption Parish.

Our goal is to achieve 100% participation, and our “Guide for Giving” asks for generosity through a five year gift by giving according to your personal means. To date, with your generous support we have raised over $1,014,000. — a total that continues to climb daily. All monies raised will be designated to the much needed restoration and preservation of Assumption Church, such as the crumbling exterior and new parish meeting space.
